Up for sale is a first-rate Wisner 4×10 Technical Field Camera. This was Susan’s prime horizontal camera until recently. Some Wisner cameras had ‘issues’ but this one has been completely gone through, adjusted, and has some custom upgrades. It is constructed of solid mahogany, with brass and stainless fittings.
The original red bellows has been replaced with custom-built black synthetic bellows. Some critical, load bearing wood screws have been replaced with threaded bushings. The close latches have been replaced with a custom stainless steel swing-away design that does not hang up on the dark cloth. See photos. (Click Image For Larger View)

The camera is in excellent condition, showing little signs of wear. The lacquered brass is in very good condition, showing little signs of tarnish. All movements are tight and function smoothly. It has also been regularly cleaned, adjusted and waxed. We take extremely meticulous care of our cameras. This camera has been a work horse, yet its condition, functionality, and usability is top notch. You will not be disappointed.
Also included are five vintage 4×10 film holders. One is a Kodak and the other four are Halsey, probably manufactured in the 1950s. These holders are wood and metal design with aluminum dark slides, and are in fair to good condition. They are the X-Ray holders the Wisner camera was designed to use. They all fit the camera back well. The holders show signs of use with some scrapes in the painted surfaces and dark slides. None of these holders have been tested, so we cannot guarantee they are light-tight, but there is no obvious signs of damage, nor anything visually that would indicate they are not useable.

This Fiberbilt Print Shipping Case is a 14 x 17″x 4.0″ Deep (Black) polypropylene shipping case with heavy-gauge steel corners designed for transporting and storing mounted or matted prints, pictures or artwork. The case has a full-size cardboard liner to prevent scratching. It uses 1.0″ nylon web quick-release straps with buckles to seal the case. The case has a mailing label space and a carrying handle.
